We built a replacement lamp specifically for the Contiform 1/2 that actually fills those thermal gaps. Why most lamps fail Here’s the thing: getting a preform to the right temperature without scorching it is a delicate balance. Most generic tubes have “cold spots” because the filament winding is sloppy. Our lamps are different. We use high-purity quartz to let more infrared heat through and tightened the tolerances on the tungsten winding. The result? The heat stays constant from one end of the tube to the other. No surprises. The nitty-gritty on the build We also added a specialized halogen cycle. This stops the tungsten from evaporating and coating the inside of the glass. You know how some lamps just go dark over time? These don’t. And don’t worry about the install. Whether you have R7s or Sk15 connectors, these are a direct swap. Just pop them in. No rewiring, no fuss. A quick heads-up These lamps pack a punch to help you speed up your cycle times. But a word of caution: if your oven insulation is shot, don’t just crank up the wattage to compensate. That puts a lot of stress on your power supplies. Also, keep an eye on your cooling fans. These high-density lamps put out a lot of ambient heat. If your vents are clogged, you’re going to trigger a thermal trip. Keep it breezy and you’ll be fine.
