These are drop-in replacements that fit your SIG footprint perfectly. We thickened the quartz walls to handle the physical stress of the oven. We also spent a lot of time on the filament centering. Why? Because “hot spots” are what kill glass. By centering the filament better, the heat spreads evenly, and the lamp doesn’t crack. The nitty-gritty on the build We use high-purity quartz so the shortwave radiation hits the preform exactly where it needs to. And don’t worry about the wiring. The connectors are a direct match for what you already have, so you can just swap them out and get back to work. We also beefed up the end-cap seals. If gas leaks in, the filament oxidizes and pops. Our seals stop that from happening. A quick heads-up Since the walls are thicker, the lamps behave a little differently. You might notice they take a beat longer to warm up than the thin-walled ones.
