If you’ve ever seen a standard short-wave infrared lamp, you know they blast out this harsh, blinding white light. It’s a lot. If you’re using these in a nursery or around a baby, that kind of glare is a huge no-go. To fix this, we use quartz glass with a special coating. Think of it like a pair of sunglasses for the heater. It blocks the UV rays and that annoying bright light, but lets the warmth sail right through. You get the cozy feeling without the headache.
Built for the Steam
Water and electricity don’t mix. Period. We use heavy-duty gaskets and reinforced shells to make sure these units can take a beating from steam or direct splashes without shorting out. There’s also the heat issue. If you cram too many watts into a tiny box, the casing gets hot enough to burn you. The Honest Trade-off

Halogen IR lamps pull a bit of a punch when they first kick on, so give your circuit some breathing room.
