Here is the thing: you can’t just plug these into a cheap smart plug. Those things will fry the second they try to handle a 1500W-2000W load. To keep things safe, we use a heavy-duty power module that talks to your hub. It’s built to handle the heavy lifting without melting. Imagine this: you set a “Morning Scene.” Your heater kicks in five minutes before your alarm goes off. By the time you shuffle out of bed and step into the bathroom, the tiles are already warm. A few things to watch out for
Since these units pack a lot of punch into a small space, you have to be smart about the wiring. If you use thin, cheap wires with a smart relay, you’re asking for trouble—voltage drops or, worse, a melted junction box. Stick with 12 AWG wiring. It keeps everything stable, even when it’s freezing outside and the heater is running full tilt. And a quick pro tip on sensors? Don’t put your motion sensor right next to the heater. The heat bloom can trick the sensor into thinking someone is in the room when they aren’t. Keep them offset, and you’re golden.
