One minute it&amp;rsquo;s cold, the next you&amp;rsquo;ve got boiling steam and water splashing everywhere. That kind of temperature swing—thermal shock—can snap a cheap heating element in half.&#xA;That&amp;rsquo;s why we stick with high-purity quartz tubes. They can take a beating.&#xA;We also seal every electrical connection with ceramic gaskets or high-temp silicone. It&amp;rsquo;s a critical detail.
