The Power Behind the Heat
Here’s the setup. We run the unit on a 400V supply, powering a 2500W lamp housed in a 300mm quartz tube. Why this specific combo? It’s how we pack a ton of heat into a small space. The 300mm length gives you a clean, defined heating zone without eating up your whole workstation. And that 400V input? It’s a direct match for most industrial power setups. So, you can usually skip the extra step-down transformers. It just plugs in and gets to work.
What It’s Made Of
Inside that quartz tube, the halogen element does its job, keeping the filament strong even when the temperature climbs. The quartz itself is tough—it handles sudden temperature shifts and lets that infrared energy blast through efficiently. We pair the tube with an R7s connector. It’s simple, it’s solid. This means swapping out the lamp is a snap. Wire it up once, and it stays put, even with all the vibration and shaking on the factory floor.
Where It Shines: PET Blowing
This is where the heater really earns its keep: in PET blowing. You need heat, and you need it fast, right on the spot to soften the preform. The shortwave output does exactly that. It heats the material in a flash, which helps you cut down on cycle time. But here’s the thing to keep in mind: this lamp runs hot. That’s the trade-off for that kind of focused power. So, your machine’s cooling and airflow need to be up to the task. We built this unit to take a beating. It delivers the same temperature, over and over, so you get consistent, quality parts every single time.
